my list of special loves...just to name a few...
well, angel is also another special love. although we have our good days and not so good days and days where we dont wanna speak at all *winks* she's still one of my special love; it's been 7 years since we found each other again and she's been a great friend, listening to my nonsense and sharing her stuff with me almost unconditionally.
so yupperz, i've combined my love for angel, prima marketing products and scrapping into this simple layout...
supplies used: patterned paper - prima marketing and bobunny; journaling card, blooms, pearls - prima marketing; alphas: american crafts and adorn it; punch - martha stewart; cardstock - dcwv and stmap - unity stamps.
although it was a simple layout but it was initially really difficult for me to tear that huge hole in my patterned paper and i am glad it turned out well, afterall angel chose her own paper when i went shopping one day, so i had to make sure the paper was well used.
last but definitely not least, i have a special love for japan and it pains me to see photos and videos and hear the news about the destruction the huge earthquake and tsunami had caused. it definitely was a reality check for me, since i was just in tokyo about 2 days before the earthquake happened. my heart goes out to the people of japan and anyone who is also emotionally affected by this natural diaster.
let's not forget to tell our love ones how we feel for them. tell them today! tell them now! please pray for japan and mother earth.
*hugs*

OooOh so sweet!
well, francis and i have! he must have thought i was crazy for that maybe 60 seconds while i gulpped down that slice of rock melon but he definitely understood what i felt because he had the exact same reaction, ignoring me while i asked 'isnt it sweet?' 'it's so cold and juicy right?' 'do you like it?' etcetera...
it has been almost 7 months since we had that rock melon in otaru, hokkaido, japan and i can still recall that feel when i see the photos we managed to grab with that couple of minutes and today's post is all about a layout on that rock melon.
this is the sketch which the layout is based on...
it is from http://www.thescrappiest.blogspot.com and here is my attempt at it...

the smurfs...
but i think it was all worth it. i completed a layout that is a tad bit overdue and all just in time for the design team search on the sketch blogs, http://www.pencillines.com/ and http://www.thescrappiest.blogspot.com/
anyway, back to my story on the smurfs. my friend, smurf, found his perfect smurfette and they decided to tie the knot and celebrated their love for each other on 23rd october 2010. so i decided to make a little something for them to always remember that beautiful day.
this layout is based on the design team search sketch for 2011 over at the pencil lines sketch blog, here is the link to the sketch... http//www.pencillines.com/2011/02/design-team-search-2011.html and here is my attempt at it...
supplies used: patterned paper - making memories; cardstock - dcwv; trims - making memories; flowers & pearls - prima marketing; brads - making memories and doodlebug designs; die-cuts - k&co; blings - basic grey; alphas - american craft; doily - royal lace and gold trim - from a bookshop in NZ
i hate how i need to go to work soon but good thing is that i get to come home tonight...yippieee! hopefully i wont be too tired because i have a 2nd layout which is about 85% done! cant wait to share it!
until the next post...

SSJ scrap session 01/11
here is my take of the sketch that sharon brought...
i love peter rabbit and i know my nephew, samuel, cannot sleep without his best friend, peter rabbit. thus there was no doubt in my mind, when i first saw graphic45's 'once upon a springtime', that these papers were going onto a layout for samuel.
this posting is late, by the way, because samuel's mummy saw the layout and provided me with a photo which was more suitable - a photo that actually had 'peter rabbit' and not just any friend from the 'peter rabbit' collection. thank you, constance, for providing with a selection of photos for me to choose, please continue to snap more photos of the little one!
the sketch that serbina chose was from http://www.pagemaps.com/ and here is my take of it...

an overdue layout...
it's a simple and messy layout, pretty much like me and my room =Þ and this photo was taken onboard a limited express train that we took from sapporo to hakodate when we went for a summer holiday in japan last year.
yes, in case you're wondering, my babies do travel a lot and as my sister would put it, they probably have more frequent miles than her =) well, i can't pack my sister in my bags so it's not like i dont wanna help *winks*
materials used: patterned paper and rub-ons-li'l davis designs; lace-little yellow bicycle, ki memories; cardstock-dcwv; stamp-unity stamp; die-cut designs-pitatte album decoration sheet; embossing powder-american crafts pewter
