sketch #217

today, a couple of my scrapping buddies got together at my buddy, sharon's house to scrap but because i was on standby for work, i had to lock myself at home and wasn't able to join them. so since they were scrapping in the north-east of singapore, i thought i should scrap at home too.

this was a simple sketch which had many layers and allowed me to make use of more patterned papers from a kit my cousins got me for Christmas last year.

i completed a layout of a photo of angel and me, in a train in tokyo. i made use of sketch #217 from http://www.pencillines.com/

here is how sketch #217 from pencillines.com looks like...

...and here is my take on the sketch...

materials used: patterned papers and button-american crafts; cardstock-bazzill basics; alphas-american crafts, jenni bowlin; flowers-prima marketing; diecuts-sizzix

and since francis and i decided to be home for Christmas this year, i spent the rest of my afternoon, prepping the boxes, which i'm gonna fill with candy for my nieces and nephews...even though we won't be having our usual turkey dinner on Christmas eve, because my hosts for our beautiful turkey dinner will be away on holiday...in tokyo! *sobs*

but nevertheless, i'm just glad that i get to be home during this time of the year-somehow it's especially difficult to travel for work during december...let's hope i can find more time to scrap!

thanks for looking!

uh oooooh....

a couple of weeks ago, sharon invited a few of us over to scrap at her place. i printed from the internet and brought a copy of 'imaginisce's october sketch' along so we could do a layout based on that.

here's how the sketch looks like...

...and here's my take on the sketch...

this was a fun and simple layout which i completed rather quickly, except for the fact that i had to leave it aside for over a week because of work commitments. oooh this layout was made possible thanks to the kit that cindy and norick got me for Christmas 2009-the papers matches so well with the colors on ashley's dress!

materials used: patterned papers and alphas-american craft; cardstock-bazzill basics, dcwv; flowers-prima marketing; diecut-sizzix, tim holtz alteration

oooo by the way, ive got about a week to Christmas and i'm not done with my shopping yet, it will help if they will just tell me what they want instead of letting me guess what is best for them... *sighs* hopefully i can squeeze out some time to complete the projects i needa do before the year ends, will write again soon!

have a great friday and thanks for looking!

samuel turns one...

so okay, i know samuel turned one a few months ago but seeing how i could not go to the beautiful nautical theme birthday party, i obviously didn't get my chance to blind my baby nephew! but thankfully, my dearest sister, help snap a few shots of the baby boy and this was all made possible because of her!

here's my first layout of samuel and hopefully i'll be able to make it for more family events and can snap more pictures of the lil ones...hope samuel and his parents will like it.

material list: patterned papers-making memories, dcwv, theresa collins; cardstock-dcwv; diecut-jenni bowling; transparent overlay-hambly studios; alphas-american craft thickers, jenni bowling
i also wanna thank sharon, my buddy, for inviting me over to her place where we had a mini scrap session. there was where i stuck 80% of this layout down and where they gave me ideas to make the rosette like the one samuel has, in the picture.
thanks for looking!
